Civilisation as a process
Culture
Against the backdrop of National Socialism, the university lecturer and philosopher of religion Klaus Heinrich geared his work towards shedding light on the processes of civilisation in order to prevent people from becoming objects of such developments without resistance. For him, civilisation was not a linear development, but a process.
ARCH+ issue 254 with Klaus Heinrich’s Dahlem Lectures consists of two volumes: the first contains the transcribed lectures by Klaus Heinrich; the second presents the images as an independent, associative image section. The text and images can be read in parallel or independently of each other in order to bring Heinrich’s image-based thinking to life.
