Culture
Urban practice refers to the necessary transformation in urban planning, where participatory and decentralized approaches replace traditional, often failed planning methods.
In this context, civil society actors are seen as active co-creators who, through collective imaginative thinking and artistic action, initiate social, cultural, and ecological transformations. Interventions in urban space are not only about aesthetic design, but also create spaces for encounter, negotiate social dynamics, and open up new possibilities for action.
ARCH+ 258 advocates for the recognition of urban practice as a professional discipline and for support through stable political and administrative structures to ensure its long-term effectiveness.
