Mosaic workshop for the handicapped, non-profit GmbH
Die Kuhhorster, an ecofarm in the Havelland region just west of Berlin, is a pilot project for the professional integration of people with handicaps. Here, 80 employees farm over 420 hectares of arable land and process grain, vegetables, meat and milk into high-quality products. Stan Hema developed a brand strategy for this unique farm. Its USPs—family structures and skilled production on site—are at the heart of its communication. The look playfully references the manual labor on the farm, and the products and packaging are designed with the needs of differently abled people in mind. Stan Hema also advised Die Kuhhorster in its product line definition, optimized the product labeling, and managed the market rollout.
Starting in 2010, the products are marketed in the farm’s own shop and in organic supermarkets in Berlin. The shop concept was developed in collaboration with Spacemark.
